Getting Involved at School
Quilts of Valor and Quilts for Kids school activities give you a way to put your desire to serve, skills and passion to work for a greater good: as part of the active and giving communities throughout the United States.
In a group activity, you’ll get the opportunity to work side by side with other
students from chapters in your area, engaging in
meaningful projects that serve to Honor and Comfort some of our country’s
most deserving. You will plan, create and complete service projects that
will help your community and the people within it.
School activities like these also afford you opportunities for self-development and building leadership skills.
Planning and supporting projects like Between
the 11's - a commemoration of the time between September
11 (Patriots Day) and November 11 (Veterans Day) or Make A Difference
Day (held annually the fourth Saturday of October), will
be a fun, rewarding experience. You may even find
yourself building life-long friendships as you connect
with community leaders and other student volunteers who
possess the energy, ingenuity and compassion like you!
