Joining In - DOING Good
Joining In - You may be a Mom,
work in an office, enjoy life as a retiree or still be a
student in school. However you choose to get involved, know this - without support from people like you, the
thousands of people touched by our quilts might not have the positive life-saving recovery they so deserve.
We support the healing and comforting of children with pediatric cancer,
as well as, Honoring and Comforting combat service members and Veterans touched by war all across the United States. Volunteers serve as ambassadors, representing Quilts of Valor and Quilts for Kids and the caring mission of each organization. Your work is valuable in spreading the word about the Quilts of Valor and Quilts for Kids programs and we thank you for your desire to serve - honor and comfort all of our recipients.
We Are Born To Serve
The MSP Quilting Angels, a founding chapter in the Quilts of Valor Foundation, serves
combat service members and Veterans who are touched by
war - not all wounds are visible. Many Veterans also note a sense of duty to volunteer for their comrades.
Several of the MSP Quilting Angels are Veterans. If you
have the privilege of meeting one of these ladies during our regular meetings,
be certain to express your gratitude for their service and sacrifice for
all of US.
As a Blue Star Mother, Catherine Roberts organized a
National effort that today continues to support the
recovery of tens-of-thousands of combat service members
and Veterans, through the Quilts of Valor Foundation
(QOVF.org). Catherine's strength as a
founder continues today as a catalyst to build and
strengthen the QOVF, reaching out to friends across this Nation.
The Foundation's motto is even stronger today - It's NOT about Politics - It's About People
